The sixth part. You know how these things go. By now you're either in or you're out, and I'm in, but also... I'm tired. The forest setting is back, Summoner and Ashe, the archer girl, doing their thing. I skipped most of the text. I'm not proud of it, but the prose in these visual novels sometimes feels like it's paid by the word, and I'm not the one getting paid. I just wanted to see if the payoff was worth the buildup from the last five chapters.

And then the monster shows up. Not a random encounter, this is a choice-driven thing, and the choice is basically "do the obviously stupid thing that leads to the sex scene" or "be boring." I chose stupid. The summoner conjures this... thing. It's not a tentacle monster, thank god, I'm so over that. It's more like a living shadow with a very specific, very single-minded purpose. The scene with Ashe isn't a quick fade-to-black. It's a full, detailed sequence where the monster's appendages, which are weirdly textured in the description, like cool stone but flexible, just go to work. The archer's whole stoic, capable vibe just melts. The writing here, the part I didn't skip, gets really into the sounds she makes, these choked little gasps that are way hotter than any generic moaning.

But here's the thing that's been bugging me since part two. Her quiver. It's always on her back, even during the scene. I spent a solid minute just staring at the static image, this girl getting absolutely wrecked by a shadow demon, and her quiver is just... there. Perfectly aligned. Not a single arrow out of place. It's such a small, stupid detail, but it completely pulled me out. The second scene is a more standard summoner-on-archer deal, and it's fine, but after the monster, it feels like a bonus track you don't really need. I guess I'm still in for part seven, though. I need to know if that quiver ever moves. It won't.
