ok so i was supposed to be doing my expense reports but instead i'm clicking through this college sandbox thing and honestly the spreadsheets can wait

the whole premise is you're some dude starting freshman year and literally every girl on campus has these two meters floating over their heads like a sim with mods installed. love and lust. that's it. that's the whole system. and i spent way too long trying to figure out if the love meter actually changes dialogue or if it's just a number that goes up. it does change things. i think. maybe. the redhead in the dorm hallway started saying different stuff after i brought her coffee three times but then i reloaded an old save and she said the same thing anyway so who fucking knows. the real model tag is doing some heavy lifting here because some of these character portraits look like they were pulled straight from a stock photo site and then someone drew anime eyes on them in ms paint. it's weirdly charming though. like finding a bootleg dvd where the cover art is just screenshots printed on regular paper.

the management part is basically just clicking activities and watching numbers go brrr. study raises intelligence which somehow makes girls like you more. go to the gym. go to the library. go to the quad where there's always some event happening that the text describes as "summer vibes" even though it's clearly september. the erotic scenes unlock when you hit certain thresholds and they're... fine? the writing is what you'd expect from someone who learned english from porn captions. lots of "you feel her big tits press against you" type stuff. which works. i'm not complaining. but then there's this one scene with the milf professor where the dialogue suddenly gets weirdly poetic for like two lines and then goes right back to being aggressively direct. tonal whiplash.

the rpg elements are there but they're paper thin. you make choices sometimes. most of them lead to the same outcome with slightly different flavor text. there's this one choice early on where you can either help a girl carry boxes or not and if you don't she just... stands there. forever. i checked three in-game days later and she was still in the hallway with her boxes. that's commitment to being unhelpful.

anyway my boss walked by and i had to alt tab so fast i think i pulled something in my wrist. worth it though. the soundtrack is just one loop that sounds like royalty free lo-fi beats to study to and it's been stuck in my head for six hours.
