The loading screen stutters and I remember thinking, oh great, another renpy web port that’s gonna chug like a dying laptop. F11 fullscreen, yeah, I did that. Still chugged. The PC version’s probably fine but I was too lazy to download, so I sat there with the browser hiccuping while I tried to figure out why my robot brothel wasn’t making money.

You build these puppets. Not just any puppets, they’re knockoff popular characters, the kind you’d recognize if you squint. The assembly screen is weirdly satisfying, clicking parts together like a perverted Lego set. I made one that looked like a certain pink-haired tsundere and immediately put her to work. The brothel management is barebones, honestly. Click, assign, wait. The money trickles in. I kept forgetting to check the stats screen and then wondering why nobody was visiting.

The sex scenes are where it actually delivers. Stiff animations, sure, but the whole puppet angle makes it hotter than it should be. There’s something about the dead-eyed stare of a robot that’s supposed to be a famous anime girl, going through the motions while you watch. It’s uncanny in a way that works for me. Maybe I’m broken. The sound design is nonexistent, which is a crime, but the dialogue is dumb and filthy and I laughed out loud twice.

I wish there was more to do between scenes. The loop gets old fast, build robot, assign robot, watch robot fuck, repeat. The parody characters carry the whole thing. Without them it’d be a skeleton of a game. The patreon link pops up and I get it, it’s early, second release, more content coming. But right now it’s a snack, not a meal. I closed the tab and forgot about it until I saw the icon in my history and went back to build another one. That tsundere was still earning, by the way. Good for her.
