You know what gets me about these Pokemon parody games? The way they can just take something from childhood and twist it without even trying hard. Misty's party huh. She's got that red hair and that look now, like she knows exactly what she's doing in that house.

The animation's stiff in places where it shouldn't be, like during Ash's entrance when his model sort of... slides? I spent way too long noticing that while Misty stands there with those unbelievable tits barely contained in this little top. They really went all out on her design, the curves, the freckles if you look close enough. And then Ash still looks like he's twelve which is an interesting choice but okay, we're doing this.

Something about the way she says "Pokemon Go party" like it's not the most transparent excuse ever. The dialogue trees are basic, basically pick A or B and watch the same thing happen with slightly different expressions, but there's this one moment where Misty leans forward and the jiggle physics kick in and honestly I forgot about the card game mechanic entirely. What even was the minigame? Tapping the screen like the app, I think. Felt pointless when the real draw is just watching Misty flash that knowing smile every time you "accidentally" find something.

The game never lets it get sad, not really, and that bugs me. There's no moment where Ash realizes this is pathetic, because the game doesn't think it is. It thinks we're still in that boat with her after all these years. Maybe that's the saddest part. The pokeball collection thing unlocks... something, I couldn't tell if the gallery filled or not, didn't matter. Misty's scenes cycle through these positions that somehow feel less explicit than her just standing there in the intro. A real shame.
