The music. God, the music. It's this looping, vaguely tropical thing that sounds like it was composed on a phone app in 2014, all tinny steel drums and a bassline that doesn't quite sync with anything. I left it on for an hour while doing something else and it burrowed into my skull. Came back to the game and realized I'd been humming it without noticing. That's the whole experience, really. A nudist island premise so absurdly thin it's just a delivery mechanism for AI generated bodies that all have the same glossy skin texture, like everyone's been dipped in warm butter.
The landlady character has these proportions that defy physics in a way that isn't even trying to be sexy, just... aggressive. Like someone described "big tits" to an alien who'd never seen a human. And yet. There's this one scene where she's explaining the nudist colony rules while slowly undressing, and the AI art cycles through poses with this jerky, almost stop motion rhythm. Each click forward feels like turning a page in a magazine found under a mattress. The dialogue is so stilted it circles back around to hypnotic. "You will become accustomed to the freedom of the natural form." Nobody talks like that. I couldn't look away.
The sandbox elements are barely there. Click around the island, click on the landlady, click on some bushes I guess. The roommate tag is a promise that hasn't materialized yet, which is almost funny. You're just stuck with this woman who talks like a translated terms of service agreement while the same eight second loop plays. I tabbed out to check Discord, came back, and had forgotten I was playing something. The music was still going though. It's still going now, probably, in some parallel dimension where every character has the same vacant expression and the same impossible waist to hip ratio. The game knows exactly what it is and refuses to apologize.
