The render quality is that specific brand of 3DCG where everyone looks slightly waxen and the animations have this jerky, almost stop-motion quality during sex scenes. But here's the catch, that unpolished feel actually works for the fever-dream logic of the plot. You're this total loser, right, and suddenly reality is breaking apart and you're getting sucked into a fantasy world.
