The elf warrior thing is whatever, right? Another fantasy setup with a queen giving orders and lizard monsters somewhere off screen. But the whole point collapses into this one tension: you want your battle partner Idril and she wants you back, and neither of you will just say it. That's the game. That's all of it.
I spent most clicks picking dialogue options that were basically "stare at her armor" or "think about her hair while she's talking about troop movements." The writing knows exactly what it's doing. It drags out every almost-touch, every moment where Galathor's internal monologue goes full thirsty while his mouth says something about kingdom safety. There's a scene early on after a skirmish where she's cleaning her blade and he's just... watching her hands. You get three choices and all of them are pathetic in the best way. I picked the one where he compliments her form and she blushes but deflects, and then the narration spent like four screens describing how her ears went pink. Elf ears. Pink. I'm not made of stone.
The art is rough though. Not charming rough, just unpolished rough. Idril's proportions shift between scenes like the artist was figuring her out as they went. One CG she's got these perfect warrior thighs, next scene she's built like a twig. It's distracting. Also the queen shows up for maybe two text boxes total and then vanishes, which feels like a missed opportunity because her design is actually interesting. But who cares, she's not the one you're trying not to fantasize about while planning military strategy.
The sex scenes, when they finally happen, are decently explicit. Not groundbreaking but they commit. Idril's dialogue during gets repetitive though, same three phrases cycled. I wish the game let the tension snap earlier instead of blueballing you through so many "we must focus on the mission" loops. But then again that's the whole kink here, isn't it? The denial is the product. My brain says this is a mid visual novel with one trick. My other brain already clicked replay.
