The animation loops in that janky flash way, like something you'd find buried on an old Newgrounds account before the purge. Matoi Ryuko is immediately recognizable, that wild hair and crazy eyebrow thing they always draw. The uniform is barely hanging on before the tentacles even arrive, shiny and slick in a way that makes me think of someone discovering specular maps for the first time and just dragging the slider all the way up. It's not smooth. The transitions between positions, which you click with these tiny little arrows on the side of the browser window, feel like skipping through a corrupted gif, a sort of stuttered frame drop that honestly adds something. I can't explain it. It's like seeing a DVD skip exactly on the good part, and you're just holding your breath hoping it doesn't jump forward.
I spent way too long on the first scene, the one where she's giving this defiant glare. The animator understood the assignment. She's never fully broken, even when her mouth is full. That's the whole point of her character, right? A lot of these games turn everyone into a blank moaning doll, but the teasing look in her eyes here is more compelling than the actual detailed anatomy of the tentacles, which are just kind of generic purple tubes. They should have more texture, maybe like the life fibers from the show. Missed opportunity. The oral scene has this moment where the cumshot seems to defy physics, just a geyser of pixelated nonsense that would make a hentai from the 90s proud. It's absurd, completely uncalibrated to reality, and it's the hottest part. The sound, my god, the sound is like a box of wet macaroni being stepped on, a true foley nightmare that you can't mute because it's essential to the chaos.
It's basically a slide show with jiggle physics. You click, she gets repositioned, a new tentacle appears from a different impossible angle. The facial animations are where the budget went, wild expressions that switch on a dime. I found myself clicking back and forth between two frames just to watch her eyebrow twitch from anger into something else, something she doesn't want to admit, creating my own broken narrative loop. The whole thing is a beautiful mess, a glitchy tribute to a character who deserves a lot more polish but somehow this raw, unedited format just works. It feels like finding someone's very specific, very thirsty art project that they posted at 3AM and immediately forgot about, and now you're the only one who remembers the URL.
