The "Katie Diaries" thing again. Brandy's standing there looking like she just stepped out of a magazine, not a drop of hangover on her, and Katie's practically green. I felt that in my soul. The animation when she's holding her head, that little wobble, it's so stupidly accurate to how your skull feels after a night of bad decisions. Jim's voice on the phone is this muffled torture and then the knocking starts. Thump thump thump. Right through your temples.

And it's Johny. Of course it is. The timing on his entrance is perfect, that shit eating grin barely visible through the crack in the door before it swings wide. The dialogue choices here are what get me, you can either try to function like a human or just let the suffering take over. I picked the most pathetic response possible and the voice actress actually sounded like she was dying, this croaky little "what" that made me snort my drink. The humor in these games is always so mean in the best way. Brandy's just there being effortlessly hot while Katie unravels, and the redhead dynamic between them, the way they play off each other, it's the real draw. The big tits are there, obviously, the animation work on the jiggle physics is as solid as ever, but it's the facial expressions that kill me. Katie's thousand yard stare when Johny starts talking.

Wish there was an option to just close the door in his face and go back to bed. Not that the game would let you, but the fantasy of it. The scene that follows, if you let him in, has this great uncomfortable energy where you're trying to flirt through a headache and it's just... sad. And hot. Sad and hot. The voice work during the more explicit bits has this raspy quality because she's supposed to be hungover and it adds this whole layer of wrongness that I'm apparently very into. The writing doesn't try to make it glamorous, it's messy and awkward and there's a moment where she almost pukes and honestly? More of that energy in adult games please. The whole thing feels like a terrible morning after that you can't stop watching.
