The rejection scene at the start hits different when you know what's coming. Not because it's sad, it's actually kind of pathetic in a way that feels real. You're standing there in Heart City with your confession all prepared and she just... nope. Then this girl from your past shows up, all bubbly and way too into your business, and suddenly you're learning about love or whatever while she drags you around town.
The sex stuff doesn't happen right away which I appreciate. There's this build up where you're doing these city adventures and making bad decisions, and the game keeps teasing you with these big tit character designs that are honestly the main reason I clicked. When it finally happens though, the scene with the past girl in her apartment, she's on top and the dialogue localization is surprisingly filthy. Like whoever translated this understood that "please" can sound dirtier than any curse word when delivered right. The way she says things during, the little breathy pauses, it's good. The 2DCG art during that scene has her chest doing that thing where it looks almost too heavy, you know the style.
Gameplay wise it's standard visual novel stuff, click to advance, make choices that branch the story. Nothing revolutionary. The writing sometimes tries too hard to be witty and misses, there's this one joke about coffee that goes on way too long. But the dating mechanics are straightforward, you're basically picking between pursuing your original crush or falling for the unexpected option. The male protagonist is kind of a blank slate but that works for self insert purposes. I wish there was more variety in the CGs, you get maybe three or four per route and they're all variations of the same positions. The anthology thing means this is standalone, you don't need the other Heart City episodes which is nice because I couldn't find them anyway.
