I opened this one right before bed. Big mistake. The nightmare sequence in the opening hits different when your room is dark and the screen is the only light source. Nathan's family burning, the sister disappearing into smoke. It's not subtle about the trauma. The writing smashes you with it immediately, then drops you into some recruitment office for the ACA where a woman with thighs like marble pillars is explaining the war against the elves. Elizara's forces are massacring everyone. The art style, that 3DCG look, it's stiff in places. Characters sometimes have dead eyes during emotional beats. But then there's a scene with a captured beastling warrior, and the way her muscles tense under interrogation, the sweat on her collarbone. I forgot about the jank entirely.
The monster girls in this thing. There's a milf sorceress early on, big tits spilling out of robes that are barely holding together, and she's got this knowing smirk like she's already decided what she wants from you. The adult content doesn't waste time with romance. It's more like power dynamics and desperation. One moment you're investigating supernatural phenomena in some ruined temple, the next you're pinned against a wall by something that's definitely not human. The horror elements creep in through the mystery. What actually happened to the Hayes family. Why the nightmares won't stop.
The dialogue can get clunky. Transitions between the war council scenes and the intimate moments feel like someone flipped a switch. I kept getting pulled out of it by typos. Nothing game breaking, just enough to remind me some solo dev probably burned out making this. But the core loop works. Fight, investigate, get seduced or dominated by a monster with an ass that defies physics, uncover another layer of the conspiracy. The fantasy setting is standard elves versus humans stuff until it's not. There's something else moving behind the war, something older than both sides, and the supernatural tag isn't just window dressing. The ACA knows more than they're saying. Your sister might too.
What sticks with me is a scene in a crypt. Candlelight, stone altar, a creature with too many joints in her legs. The horror builds slow, then the adult content kicks in and it's wrong but you don't click away. That's the whole game really. Wrong things happening in dim light while the world burns outside.
