Right, so the Pikachu girl's hidden quest. That's what's stuck in my head, not the actual story. You gotta poke around, figure out the right sequence of dumb little actions, and the reward is... well, it's a loop of her getting absolutely railed in that costume. The animation's rough, like someone drew it on a napkin, but that's the whole point, isn't it? It's got this grimy, unpolished charm. The skip button is a godsend though, because some of the dialogue is just filler before you get to the good stuff.
Combat's a weird one. You're throwing out spells like Mothswarm, which they thankfully nerfed because it was healing for stupid amounts, and Lightning Storm doesn't stunlock everything anymore. Then, after you've finished a girl's hidden quest, she can just randomly pop in during a fight to help. First time the Bulbasaur cosplayer showed up, I completely forgot I'd unlocked her. She just appears, tits out, and starts attacking. It's a nice touch, makes the grind for those hidden scenes feel like it actually does something beyond the gallery. The gashapon machine RNG is still a scam though, don't let the patch notes fool you. Spent way too long trying to get a specific sticker.
The whole thing is held together with tape and a patreon link. You can see the seams everywhere, the UI changes just moved the clutter around, and the random shop cutscenes can get repetitive fast if you don't turn them off in the options. But that's the trade-off. It's a pokemon parody that knows exactly what it is, a delivery system for some very specific, very lewd cosplay hentai. The art's got that deviantart circa 2010 energy, which honestly fits. Just wish the save function was less of a gamble. Lost progress once and almost didn't bother going back. Almost.
