I don't know what I expected from a game that opens with a guy literally running away from his own movie premiere. Zack, former teen heartthrob, now hiding behind an espresso machine in some nowhere town. Five years of anonymity shattered when a familiar face orders a latte. The setup is pure melodrama and I'm here for it.

The sex scenes caught me off guard though. Not because they're explicit, they absolutely are, but because of how they're framed. There's this one moment with an old co-star where the dialogue beforehand is so painfully awkward, so real about their shared history, that when they finally fuck it feels almost intrusive to watch. Like I shouldn't be seeing this. The oral sex sequence in particular has this desperate quality, her trying to reconnect through physicality while he's clearly somewhere else mentally. And then the creampie finish happens and it's like oh right, this is still a porn game. But the emotional whiplash works somehow.

The actor sim part is where things get weirdly granular. You pick acting methods, choose roles, decide whether Zack leans into method acting or phones it in for a paycheck. Your choices ripple through both career and relationships in ways that aren't always obvious. I made what I thought was a smart career move and it completely torpedoed a romance subplot I'd been cultivating. The game didn't warn me. I respect that.

Wish the humor landed more consistently though. Some jokes about Hollywood culture are sharp, others feel like they were written by someone who's only experienced LA through Twitter threads. The relationship mechanics sometimes feel like they're fighting the dating sim structure rather than working with it. But when it clicks, when a choice you made three scenes ago suddenly pays off in an unexpected way, it's genuinely satisfying. Just don't expect polish. This thing wears its rough edges proudly.
