Laura doesn't hesitate when Mario first mentions it. That's what gets me. The animation is choppy as hell, like someone made it on a phone from 2016, but her face in that moment. She's sitting on their crappy couch and he's talking about some guy he knows who knows a guy, and you can see her calculating. Not shocked. Not offended. Just doing the math on what her body is worth.

The sex scenes are weirdly mechanical but also... I kept clicking. The first time she's with someone who isn't Mario, the game lingers on her wedding ring. It's a tiny detail in a game that otherwise looks like it was drawn in MS Paint during a lunch break. The oral scene in the car is uncomfortable in a way I think is intentional. She keeps her eyes open the whole time. The criminal tag is doing a lot of work here. It's not glamorous. The money comes with strings attached and you can feel them tightening.

I wish there was more to do during the choices. Sometimes it's just two options and one of them is obviously the "continue the plot" button. The wife tag feels almost misleading. She's married but the game treats Mario more like a plot device than a person. He pushes her toward this life and then mostly disappears except to occasionally text her about how the money is good. What a guy. The Italian setting is just window dressing. Could be anywhere with bad furniture and worse decisions. Still, Laura herself is interesting even when the game around her isn't. She's not naive. She's not a victim exactly. She's just someone who looked at her options and picked the one that made her feel something.
