The Flareon cosplayer questline though. That's where the update sinks its teeth in. Her static reward image hits first, all warm oranges and that knowing smirk, but the animated version? It's a slow burn. The way her hips roll, it's less a dance and more a promise. There's a 3-part CG during her quest that's basically a storyboard of escalating tension, and the two extra CGs at the end feel like a reward for not skipping dialogue. Which I absolutely did not do.

Carmen finally got her emotes. About time. Watching her pixel-face twitch from annoyance to barely concealed rage during the sauna opening is a small, perfect joy. The whole setup next to the maid cafe is peak Con-Quest weirdness. Felicia, the owner, is too good to be true in that way that makes your brain itch. Is the Poke-Con balance skewed? Probably. The game throws around terms like "weakness damage changes" and I saw bigger numbers pop off enemies, which is cool I guess, but I'm here for the unraveling mystery and the moment Carmen finally blows her top. The bug where you got stuck on Ivy's quest is fixed, thank fuck, because that was a softlock straight out of a nightmare.

Mia and Nia now have static images, and there's an extra set with Mia on the bottom that's... let's just say the composition is very deliberate. Jess going topless in her animated reward feels like a long-overdue patch note that someone forgot to write months ago. The whole thing still has that unpolished, Newgrounds-core energy, like a sketch that got colored in just enough to be obscene.
