The click when you drag a number tile over another, it's not satisfying. It's this soft little tap sound, almost apologetic. I kept expecting some kind of resistance, like the pieces had weight. They don't. They just slide. And the blonde on the screen, she's frozen mid pose, one shoulder strap already down, looking at you with this bored expression that somehow makes the whole thing hotter. You're not here for the puzzle. The puzzle is just the busywork your fingers do while your eyes stay locked on the strip of skin above her waistband.

The mechanic is 2048, basically. Swipe, merge twos into fours, fours into eights. But the grid is semi transparent, laid right over her body. So when you clear a section, that part of the image unlocks. First the background clutter goes, then her jacket, then the top underneath. I got stuck on a 256 block for like ten minutes because I cornered myself, and the whole time her bra was half revealed, just the lace edge visible. Frustrating as hell. The logic part of my brain was screaming at the bad tile placement, but the other part was just staring at that lace. The contrast between the cold math and the warm skin tones is what gets you. Or it got me, anyway.

The model is real, or at least looks real enough. Not some airbrushed fantasy thing. She has a mole on her left hip. I noticed it when the denim shorts finally pixelated away. The game calls itself a striptease but it's more like archaeology, slowly digging her out of the numbers. The numbers are ugly though, this generic font that reminds me of a spreadsheet. I wish they'd used something with curves, something that felt less like doing taxes. But maybe that's the point. The boredom makes the reveal sharper. My palm got sweaty on the trackpad. Not from the math.
