I downloaded GWL2 thinking it'd be a quick laugh, you know? Like, "oh, a wrestling porn game, how bad can the writing be?" But here's the thing about the character creator, you can give Hayley these absolutely ridiculous proportions and the game just... rolls with it. The dialogue never acknowledges she's walking around with beach balls taped to her chest. It's a small thing but it bugs me, this missed opportunity for self awareness. The first match against some jobber girl, the animation glitched out and her arm phased through the ropes while the crowd sound effect just kept looping, a single "woo" over and over.

Hayley moves to the city to be a wrestler and immediately, like within three clicks, she's in a locker room scene that escalates fast. The animated sex scenes are actually smooth, I'll give it that. The loop on the cowgirl position with the trainer character has this bounce physics that's way more polished than the actual wrestling. Makes you wonder where the dev's priorities were. I mean, it's a porn game, I get it, but I wish the ring stuff had half that effort. There's a scene with a sextoy later that uses a similar engine, same kind of jiggle, and you can just tell the artist enjoys drawing that more than anything else.

The visual novel bits between are weirdly sincere? Like someone actually tried writing a drama about backstage politics and then remembered they had to add a blowjob. A character named Roxy shows up, rival stuff, very by the numbers
