Mindy’s got this look, right? Like she knows exactly what you’re doing and she’s already bored of it. That’s the whole energy of this hangman thing. You type letters, trying to not fuck up, and she just stands there in that little black number, one eyebrow slightly raised. The mechanic is brutally simple, guess the word before the stick figure gets a full body, but here the stick figure is a progress bar toward her clothes evaporating. I got stuck on “QUARTZ” for an embarrassing amount of time, just watching her smirk at me from the screen, the video clips locked away behind my own stupidity. The real human tag isn't lying, she’s a brunette with a presence that makes you feel like a teenager fumbling with a bra strap for the first time.

The pictures you unlock, there are six of them, are fine. Grainy in that specific way that feels less like a stylistic choice and more like a forgotten webcam from 2007, which honestly adds to the whole grimy charm. I wish the videos had sound. They don’t. They just loop silently, which is a weirdly artsy choice for something this straightforward, like watching a gif of a memory you’re not supposed to have. The word list is 101 items long and whoever wrote it has a thing for words with ‘Z’ and ‘X’ in them, I swear to god. It’s like being edged by a dictionary.

Somewhere around the fourth picture I realized I was genuinely angry at a fictional woman for not taking off her stockings faster because I couldn’t remember how to spell “RHYTHM.” That’s the core loop. Pure, idiotic frustration mixed with the promise of a naked person. It’s not clever, it doesn’t pretend to be, it’s just a strip hangman game where a very real looking woman judges your vocabulary. And that’s... something. The whole thing feels like a flash game you’d hide from your boss, and I mean that as the highest possible compliment. No idea what the final reward is yet, I’m still stuck on a word with a silent ‘K’ and it’s making me want to throw my laptop.
