What shall I render to thee oh Lord! The journey so far has always been for His name sake, thus I praise the Lord God Almighty, the Maker of heaven and earth, the Master of the universe and the only wise God. I will not but acknowledge the Lordship of Jesus Christ and His sovereignty over His people in CAC Latona home and abroad most especially among us in Anointing Chapel (the English Assembly) for yet another year in His presence. May His name be praised forever.
As usual, I want to appreciate my father-in-the-Lord, Pastor Gideon O. Obiwale for his immense leadership and pastoral roles played over us. The entire pastorate of CAC Latona is equally appreciated. Also, I celebrate all the Elders, Deaconesses, Society leaders, Departmental heads, Good Women, CACMA, Youths as well as all our members home and abroad. The Lord blesses YOU all in Jesus name (Amen).
Without doubt, this year marks the 23rd Anniversary of Anointing Chapel; marking a unique point in the history of this great assembly. Every bona fide member of this church will testify to the records of progress we’ve been able to achieve together (spiritually, physically, financially, structurally and so on). I am glad to inform you that our site project has gotten to a reasonable level. We are trusting the Lord to hasten the work unto a befitting completion in no distant time in the mighty name of Jesus (Amen)! Furthermore, I will like to encourage you to be frequently visiting our website which was launched just last year. Do visit us at www.caclatonaanoitingchapel.org and you can also send us your request through our e-mail address: firstname.lastname@example.org
Besides, we cannot exhaust testifying to God’s faithfulness which abounds in the life of every member through divers testimonies in the last one year. My prayer is that all the Lord has done shall be permanent and those that are yet to come to the limelight shall receive urgent divine attention before this time next year in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus (Amen).
This year’s theme: THE EXCEEDING GRACE IN YOU is a collaboration of our God’s counsel this season which is our year of GREAT GRACE. The theme’s textual source is though a long references, but the main point is in 2 Corinthians 9:14 where Paul the apostle affirmed what enables the Corinthian’s brethren to be excelled and being prayed for even by the people (church at Jerusalem) who hasn’t met with them before. The reason is because of their love for giving towards the course of the kingdom of God. Apostle Paul noted that, “Whiles by the experiment of this ministration (the Corinthians seed giving) they (the church at Jerusalem who enjoyed the aid) glorify God for your professed subjection (obedient cooperation, submission) unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men; And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God (that is, the giving prowess) in you.” (2 Cor. 9:13-14).
In the same vein, I can say it that it is this surpassing (exceeding) grace which God has bestowed upon you in this chapel that has make you a pride of an assembly every shepherd will love to oversee. As a way of encouragement, I will want to implore each and every one of you to not relent in your service for the Lord, most especially as you keep committed to the project of the church, because if the Lord tarries, not only our generations will be benefitted in that great edifice designed for worship, but generations to come. And when this happens (because it’s a covenant place for God’s people), those whose life became touched will be happy and credit will be made into your account in heaven for cheerfully participated in the project just like the reason the Corinthians were being prayed for.
On this note, I am welcoming you (members and guests) to the 23rd anniversary of CAC English Assembly aka Anointing Chapel Latona, where the anointing breaks all yokes. On this altar, I declare GREAT GRACE upon you to be fulfilled just as the early apostles of our Lord in the mighty name of Jesus (Acts 4:33). May you not be diminished in GRACE as the LORD lives.
Pastor Olowookere E. O.
